BREMOIR celebrates a new Roaring Twenties with debut model.
BREMOIR is launching its debut wristwatch, The Lexington, one hundred years after the movement that inspired its creation was born - the Age of Art Deco. The Lexington’s design draws on the architectural details of one of the period’s most iconic pieces of architecture, the Chrysler Building in New York City. It is a contemporary timepiece, measuring 39mm in width and featuring a Swiss, automatic movement, yet it integrates clever Art Deco design elements that give it subtle, vintage vibes.

The Spanish Flu ended in 1920, and the years that followed saw unprecedented social, artistic and technological progress, including the advent of the Art Deco design movement (~1925). The prevalence of geometric shapes, seductive curves, rich materials and patterns formed a visually stunning backdrop to the cultural developments in jazz, fashion, commerce, glamor and travel. BREMOIR wants to recapture this free spirited and entrepreneurial zeitgeist to help us recover from the tragedy of our own pandemic.

For this reason, we believe the Age of Art Deco is a Time Worth Remembering.

A few of the watch’s design highlights include a symmetric dial with a metallic chapter ring, an eye-catching stepped bezel and Swiss Super-Luminova, appropriately applied to mimic the look of the Chrysler Building’s illuminated spire at night. Pulling directly from the building’s intricate metalwork found at all four entrances, “doorway” minute markers break with the historic precedent of using dashes or railroad tracks. The applied hour markers are polished and faceted, reflected tiny shards of light with every little movement of the wrist. All these dial details are protected by a flat, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that has been coated in anti-reflective material, making the glass almost disappear.

The 316L stainless steel case is weighty like a robust dive watch, yet the balance between brushed and polished surfaces is refined and tasteful. It is simultaneously a sport watch and dress watch - a simple strap change can help move it towards or away from either category.

The Lexington will be a limited-edition timepiece available in four different colorways, each paired with a specific high-end leather strap made by one of the industry's leading purveyors, Delugs of Singapore. Leaving no detail unaccounted for, each strap comes with a bespoke tang buckle that mirrors the stepped bezel design. Lastly, peering through an exhibition caseback, the owner is treated to yet another beautiful, Art Deco inspired detail, a customized rotor featuring black, silver and gold upon which BREMOIR’s slogan is engraved.

During the recently opened Pre-Sale Period, The Lexington is available exclusively at www.BREMOIR.com. However, starting in mid-September, limited numbers will be available at select retailers including, but not limited to Grand Central Watch, located inside Grand Central Station across from, you guessed it, the Chrysler Building.

Time is precious. Make yours count.
